Partnerships Manager

We're looking for a partnerships manager who can help us build and grow our partner programme.

We're looking for a partnerships manager who can help us build and grow our partner programme.

At Beacon we’re a growing technology startup building the best nonprofit-focused CRM in the world. We passionately believe in the power of technology to make a difference.

Chris and David, both software engineers, founded Beacon in 2017 to build a new kind of charity CRM using the latest technology and design principles.

Now hundreds of innovative charities around the world trust Beacon to run their core technology infrastructure. Animal welfare, human rights, disaster relief, cancer support - all powered by Beacon. You can see a quick demo of our product, here.

We have doing good at the core of our mission, but we're also profitable, privately owned, and our goals are for long term sustainable growth - not making a quick buck for venture capitalists.

At Beacon we're building a great brand on top of a great product that our customers love. In a recent survey by Fundraising magazine we were rated 4.9/5 for customer service, and 97% of our customers would recommend us.

Responsibilities

You’ll be joining our small but expanding sales & marketing team of 6 people, focusing on growing our partner programme and driving qualified pipeline for our sales team.

Our programme currently has ~25 partners, but we’re keen to grow this significantly.

Who are Beacon partners? They’re charity-focused freelancers/agencies/consultants using their expertise to help charities (feel free to browse our partner directory).

Partners are absolutely key to Beacon’s overall goal of transforming how charities work. We’re big believers that building a strong network of partners will have a very tangible impact for our charity customers. While this is a commercial role, the work you do will make a real difference.

Partners often recommend Beacon to charities who are a great fit. We’re keen to double down on encouraging this, while also actively helping partners grow their own businesses.

You will:

  • Identify new potential partners (referrals, LinkedIn etc)
  • Qualify new partners to ensure they’re a good fit
  • Onboard them onto our programme
  • Build and maintain good partner relationships
  • Be the commercial point of contact for all partners
  • Manage sales enablement content for partners
  • Manage general ongoing partner engagements (e.g. events, webinars, newsletters)
  • Work closely with the sales team on partner-related processes
  • Collaborate with our marketing, customer success, and product teams

Requirements

You’ll need:

  • Commercial experience at a B2B SaaS company
  • Or 2+ years in a partnerships role at a tech company
  • Initiative - partnerships is a new role and there’ll be lots of opportunity to drive change
  • A strong interest in the technology sector
  • A passion for charities
  • Strong track record of delivering revenue growth
  • Flawless written English, with the ability to write charming and pithy prose
  • Friendly demeanour - our customers are all charities and part of Beacon's brand is about us being smart, friendly, charming humans

Bonus points for:

  • Experience running webinars and/or events

Working together

As a team we prefer to be together in our office (4-6 New Inn Broadway, London, EC2A 3PR) and we'd want you to join us - so this is not a remote role. We offer flexible working hours and while your usual place of work will be with us in the office, you can work from home when you need to.

We passionately believe in doing our part to address the tech sector's diversity problem

We believe that in building diversity we build strength.

We encourage everyone with the required skills to apply, we consider building a diverse and representative team to be critical to our success, and we actively pursue building a more diverse team.

We have a banded salary system to ensure that nobody is paid differently for the same role. Salaries across the organisation, including executive pay, are entirely transparent.

Our parental leave policy provides for 12 weeks of full pay, and can be taken by any parent, regardless of their new parenting circumstances.

We are actively working to demonstrate our commitment to our values by working towards Bloody Good Period’s ‘Bloody Good Employer’ certification and towards becoming a certified BCorp.
