Some of our customers are already using this new functionality in the wild. The Badger Trust, for example, already use a Beacon membership form to collect new memberships.
You can now add a section to your donation form which invites the donor to increase their donation to cover the costs of processing their payment.
You can choose a percentage of the selected donation amount to add to the total donation and the donor is presented with a simple checkbox when they complete their donation.
We take our responsibility to keep our payment infrastructure running smoothly very seriously.
Recently, we've done a lot of work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly and you'll notice the effects when you try making a donation - donation processing is now considerably faster. The new system is faster and more robust, ensuring that your donations are processed smoothly and efficiently.
We've also migrated our email provider from Sendgrid to Postmark.
You might not notice many of these changes. But rest assured that behind the scenes our team is working to make sure that your online donations are being collected by the most modern system available.
This month we'll be working on improving Beacon's email integrations, migrating our systems to beaconcrm.org, more updates to importing CSVs, and the usual round of UX updates!
