This month's biggest release is our new roles and permissions system. You can now manage and restrict your team's access to the features, records, and fields of your Beacon database.
I won't talk about it much here because we've written a blog post introducing these new features. You can read more about roles and permissions here.
You can now add Metric blocks as related record blocks on the right of a record type. These blocks make it easy to surface the record-level aggregations that matter to you. A good example is showing the lifetime donations for any given person.
We've also added more secondary fields to related record blocks so you can surface more information about related records. In the examples above each payment shows the amount, date, payment method, and campaign of the payment record.
The pipeline view has had an overhaul with some great new features added:
We're really excited to announce Beacon's first foray into the hardware market. This has been a long time coming and the day is finally here to announce our latest product offering: Beacon Bucket.
Beacon Bucket is a device which can be added to the bottom of collection tins and buckets. It tracks the amount of cash that is added and automatically updates your Beacon dashboard in real time.
You can find out more about Beacon Bucket in this post.
Stay tuned for the release of improved imports and outports, more integrations, smart merging of records, better filtering, and more snappy UX improvements coming very soon!
See you next month, Beacon chums!
