We've built a brand new system for sending notifications to your team. You can get notified by email and by in-app notifications on your Beacon dashboard. You can subscribe to the notifications that are important to you, and receive them however is best for the way you like to work.
You'll find a new 'Notifications' page in your Beacon sidebar under 'Settings'. Only Beacon admins can create and update notifications.
Lets take a quick look at the key features of the new notifications system:
You can set up a notification based on any date field in Beacon. Date notifications are sent out all together in the morning (between 7am and 8am) so you'll know what the day has in store for you before your first cup of coffee.
You can set up a notification to be sent when the date field's date is today, or when it's a number of days in the past or future. This makes it possible to do things like this:
You can get notified whenever a specific field on a record changes. This is supported for checkbox, link to a user, and drop-down fields.
This means you can do things like:
We've put Beacon admins in control over who in the team is eligible to receive notifications. Only want other admins to receive a particular notification? That's fine. A notification for the Head of Fundraising's eyes only? We've got you covered.
You can view and manage the notifications that you'll receive and decide how you want to receive them.
You can receive notifications via email, and you can choose for Beacon to display them in the new notifications panel in the top right of your Beacon dashboard.
